What a great day we had with my parents. My mom had broken her ankle so she has been laid up for a while. I think it really made her day to have the kids there enjoying her company. They didn't want to leave they had so much fun. I didn't get many pictures because Lizzy had a hard time with the fireworks but I'll post the ones I did get. I hope your 4th was just as wonderful as ours.

Just a little out of sorts

I know I haven't posted in a while. My days are crazy busy. And my computer hasn't worked right since I lost my temper with it a while back. I cannot believe how tired I am. I have only slept past 6 hours maybe 3 times since William was born. I average 3 to 5 hours a night. Last night was a 3 hour night. Lizzy woke up with croup and well, William just wakes up every night. None of the other kids would wake up at night past 7 months. Lizzy did a couple of times but nothing like her little brother who has to be up every night. I am hoping and praying that my sister would agree to help my mom watch the kids for one night in August on our anniversary. It would be so nice to sleep. I plan to take some tylonal PM so I won't wake up from habit.
Don't you just hate it when you can't find something that you know you've used recently. I need an envelope and I know that I have a bunch of them and I can't find them anywhere. My house is so unorganized. We are trying to get ready for a large garage sale. I want to get rid of everything in a box except pictures. This will clear up every closet in our home, the garage and make room for a new pantry and laundry room. I just have to wait for a weekend when my husband won't be busy and we can do this together. I'm going to need his help. I can't watch the sale and the kids at the same time. With the money we want to put some in savings and buy everyone new clothes. I cannot believe how often I have to buy them all clothes.
William has been walking along the furniture for a couple of weeks now. He still falls and hits his head at times. We try to keep pillows down but they don't always work. He'll just be 9 months tomorrow, June 15.
Well, off to find those envelopes, oh and the birth certificate we lost in our move. Is anyone else out there as absent minded as I am?

weight loss results and pictures

Okay, the 90 days of Chalean extreame are over. I did not finish the last week do to the little ones being sick (again). I have really seen a difference in my energy level, my mood, my strength and my overall health. When I don't work out like this last week, I feel horrible and tired. I also have to give a lot of the credit to shakeology. It has really helped me to be on track with eating and has given me the extra boost I need to get through the long nights with sick kids. I am so glad to have done this challenge. Now for the results.

Here is my weight and measurements from when I started March 1

Weight: 199

Waist: 41 inches

Hips: 44 inches

Chest: 41 inches

Right Arm: 13.5 inches

Left Arm: 13 inches

Right Thigh: 25 inches

Left Thigh: 26 inches

Body fat: 32%

Here are my results as of today.

Weight: 182

Waist: 35 inches

Hips: 41 inches

Chest: 38 inches

Right Arm: 12 inches

Left Arm: 12 inches

Right Thigh: 23 inches

Left Thigh: 23 inches

Body Fat: 24%

That comes out to be 17 pounds lost

6 inches lost on my waist and 19.5 inches total. And a lost of 8% body fat.

I really wanted to lose more, but I'm very happy with the results.

I love CLX so much that I'm going to start it all over again on Monday. I'm really going to focus on my eating habits and see if I can't lose more this time around. I really let my eating go during the 3rd month. I really couldn't do this alone. My accountability group from Beach Body has been awesome. Weight Loss Update

This last week was very hard for me. I didn't have any ambition to work out. I still kept eating healthy good foods. I ended up taking a full week off from my workout. This is not supposed to happen when your on a challenge. I am happy to report that I didn't gain any weight. I'm still 17 pounds lost and over 30 inches smaller. Shakeology is excellent. It keeps me on track and it helps me to stay away from the cravings that I do have. I was able to have energy, eat less and stay at my weight lost. This is exciting for me to know for when I do reach my goal weight. I know now that with a healthy diet and Shakeology I can keep the weight off. I did eat pasta during the weekend, I made chicken Alfredo with cheesy bread. I cannot eat that again though. Too much dairy. Even with lactate pills I still was up all night sick. It sure was good, but not worth it.

My Mother's Day

Mother's Day was so nice. I wish it were every day. Rob let me sleep in and he got up with William at 6:40. William actually slept in, he is usually up at 5:00. This was a huge gift from the both of them. Then Colton and Rob made me breakfast in bed with a red rose. I broke down and ate the toast. Eggs and bacon on toast is always a treat for me along with a nice hot cup of coffee. Lizzy came in and helped me eat my eggs. Alainna laid down next to me and told me how she's going to be a mommy someday to four babies. And Logan put on Johnny Horton for me to listen to. It was a great start to the morning. I wanted to go to church but we ended up skipping. I think we need to keep looking for a church to worship in. The one we've been attending for a few months is not teaching right on with what scripture says about salvation. I would love to go back to Edgewood but its so far to be involved with and I really want to be involved with a church close to home. My heart is really burdened with this.

Back to Mother's Day. I went with Logan to Fred Meyers to check out there Founders Day sale and write down prices for my grocery list on Friday. I ended buying 3 new tops for $11 each down from $40. I needed them. I only have maternity and really old tops so this was a nice gift.

When I got home I watched half of Pride and Prejudice before I fell asleep for a two hour nap. Then my dad came over for a nice visit and we had Round Table pizza and ended the day with Cheese cake. I ate so much that when I woke up this morning I was still full, bloated and sick.

Today will be focused on Shakeology to help the bloating and the sick feeling go away and back to eating lean foods. I love that its not a diet that I'm doing but a way of life. If I eat crummy for one meal I just go back to lean eating after that. This is what I like about Shakeology, it helps me to get back on track while taking cravings away and keeps me full for a couple of hours.

Sample of my weekly food intake and exercise schedule

I thought some of you might want to know what kinds of food I'm taking in and what exercises I'm doing to keep my weight loss going.

I use Chalean Extreme for exercise. I love it. I think you already know this.
Monday - About 45 minutes of weights
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - 45 minutes of weights
Thursday - Cardio for 45 minutes and abs for 15 minutes
Friday - 45 minutes of weights
Saturday - cardio for about 30 minutes and getting lean (yoga moves) for about 30 minutes
Sunday - Rest

My day to day diet changes very little.

I usually start my breakfast with 2 eggs and sometimes ham and a cup of coffee

Then two hours later I have a snack of 30 Almonds. Yummm

Two to three hours later I have lunch - this is usually a tuna fish sandwich on a skinny whole wheat bagel. Sometimes I will have a salad with chicken or tuna if I know I'm going to have bread for dinner.

I wait three hours to have my next snack and I have practically another meal. I drink my shakeology, this is a super yummy chocolate shake with skim milk. I'm going to try it with Almond milk this week.

For Dinner I have either: chicken, pork chops, or fish. Once a week its steak or hamburger. And a vegi to go with it.

I try to keep my calories between 1300 and 1500.

And there it is. Everything is made with spices and certain sauces to make it all yummy . Rob, Logan and Lizzy all like what I made. Alainna and Colton don't. But they'll learn. :)

What is CLX? And 60 days into it

CLX - Chalean Extreme. You want to get extreme?! You want to have a workout that works for you? I'm on day 60 and starting the lean phase of CLX. I have to say, I LOVE IT. I have never ever stuck with a workout. Not even just walking consistently. I have started things, gotten bored then stopped. With CLX I have stayed on track. Yes, I have missed a workout due to illness or lack of sleep but never more than one day and then I would make up that day on my scheduled day off. I have never been more excited and woke up wanting to workout before. Now granted I hate cardio, blahhhh. But with CLX there's only two days of cardio. When I start my cardio days I say to myself "15 minutes, if I can get through 15 minutes then I can do 15 more." Doing that I get through the in tire 45 minutes with one and 30 minutes with the other. I have really bad arthritis and I have noticed that when I eat sugar it flares up so bad that I cannot walk. Keeping to the diet is doing so much more than just losing weight for me, its helping my knees to not scream in pain daily. This last weekend I ate a ton of sugar, and I literally could not walk for parts of the day on Sunday due to my left knee being in so much pain. So today back to no sugar.

Another thing about MY CLX is that I'm in an accountability group who is doing the same routine on the same days. Its like going to the gym together. I have never met these ladies and almost all of them live in other states. These women have inspired me and encouraged me daily. I truly thank the Lord for them. Without them I would have quite when the workouts got harder and harder. I hope we continue to keep each other accountable even after the 90 day challenge. Now here are my results for the month. I have lost 2 pounds. This last month we worked on heavy weights and muscle building. So I know the lack of weight loss is due to my building muscle. I cannot believe how awesome I feel. I have lost 7.5 inches in total as well. In total I have lost 13 pounds and 12.5 inches. And 2% body fat.

I have continued to drink my shakeology through all this and it has definitely helped me. I don't ever fill bloated, I have a ton of energy and my cravings have gone way down. I didn't drink any shakeology this last weekend and I feel icky. I'm bloated, constipated and the cravings were back. So today is a shakeology day and I'm back on track. One thing about working out and eating right is that when you mess up or skip a day you just start again the next meal or the next day. Its not the end of the road. Don't ever give up.

I am learning so much. I am so thankful to God that I have found this workout and Shakeology. It has really helped me get back on track. I want to live longer and have more energy for my kids. They are a huge part of why I do this.

Cottage Cheese Legs? Really??

I am on day 41 of Chalean Extreme. I've lost 14 pounds and 25 inches so far, 9.5 from my waist. I wasn't going to report on my success of weight loss until the end of 60 days but I just couldn't help but share with you the results of my legs. My saddle bags and "cottage cheese" to be exact. I didn't think you could get rid of cellulite, ever. But my legs are really smoothing out. My saddle bags are almost gone and my (whisper) butt is being lifted and shrinking. The techniques Chalean uses in her workouts are amazing for the troubled areas that most women have. I cannot wait to be done and show you all the results. Day 31

Today is my 31st day doing my 90 day challenge. It has been very extreme and rewarding. I have been following a life changing diet that I just love while doing a very intense workout 5 days a week. During my workout there are 3 days of weight lifting that is extreme and two days of cardio and abs. I had days when I couldn't work out but made up for them during my scheduled days off. The diet is easing but cuts out bread and sugar. By the end of my 30 days, I allowed myself some leeway and added a little treat now and then. My metabolism has gone up so it didn't hurt my weight loss. I feel great. I have more energy, I feel a lot stronger and more confident in how I look. I was able to go down a pant size and even my shoes are more loose. I have a long way to go. I was at 199 and now I'm at 188. I've lost 11 pounds in just 30 days and 6 inches off my waist. The next 30 days are more intense and people who have already completed this phase have had dramatic results, so I'm stoked to see how it works for me. I have been able to go up in the pounds that I lift because we do less reps but heavier weights. I'm still drinking my shakeology every day. It helps to break down the fat and gives me the energy I need to get through my days. Getting ready for school

I've been looking at different sites to see what to use in the fall for Kindergarten. Colton will be 5 in June so its time. I think if I stick to only Kindergarten he is going to get bored. Of course there are things he still doesn't know how to do so he can go fully into 1st grade. He still can't write out the alphabet or his numbers. We have just started working on these though. He does however know how to read his alphabet and his numbers. He can even read and spell most 3 letter words and some 4 letter ones. He can count to 100 and can count by 10's to 60. He's working on counting by 2's. He can also count backwards from 20. He can do simple addition, knows all his shapes and even the parallelogram and all his colors. The only thing he can't really do for first grade is write. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Week Two Is Over

I have been doing intense weight training with ChaLean Extreme for two weeks now. Tomorrow I will start week 3. I am so excited. I have lost 6 inches off my waist so far and 7 pounds. My husband has said that he can see my figure again already. I love hearing that. I have to be honest with all of you, it is not easy. It is super hard when you have an addiction to food. And yes, I believe I have an addiction. I know that I can have self control and yet for so many years I chose not too. Now I am learning to eat healthier, with really yummy recipes. And to eat satisfied. Yes, I still crave certain things like a deep fried chicken sandwich from Red Robin or Onion rings, but I know that I can overcome these cravings and save them for when I have reached my goal weight and then have it every once in a while in moderation. Working out has also taught me to be on a schedule. I know that sounds weird, but when I work out in the mornings I have more energy to schedule activities for my kids and to do my work for CEF that I've committed two hours a day to. I also have started to get up even earlier (10 minutes) to do my Bible study. Before I would do it in a rush during the afternoon with interruption. I still do some of it in the afternoon, but I'm working my way to waking up 30 minutes earlier so I can spent that precious time with my Lord. This means getting up at 4:50 in the morning. Please pray for me to be able to do this.

Having the flu is not so fun

Wow! Colton, William and I have been fighting the flu for 3 days now. I feel a ton better but William is still congested and feverish. Please pray for him. He's not sleeping well even in the swing sitting up. When they're this young you can't give them anything.
Today, I'm going to be brave. I'm going to do a before picture. I am determined to loose weight. We only have a little bit of chocolate in the house now, nothing to temp me. And we won't be buying any more. We do have cookies, but I don't really like cookies. So its fruit and vegies for me from here on out. Woo hoo. I cannot wait to take my final picture once I've reached my goal weight.

Well, today is officially the day I start my Team Beach Body Slim in 6 work out. I have 6 weeks to go. I'm posting so that you can keep me accountable. I want so much to lose all this baby fat and fit back in my clothes and finally look like I'm healthy again. I was going to work out this morning but I have been sick the last two days. After taking some Theraflu and Ibuprofen I'm ready to start. On Friday I will get my Shakeology and start drinking that once a day. I'll keep you updated and let you know how it goes. Lizzy's birthday

We celebrated Lizzy's 2nd birthday on January 13. She is a pistol. We are amazed that she hasn't broken any bones yet. What a wonderful blessing my little tink is. She makes me laugh and makes my heart jump throughout each day. Happy birthday Lizzy I pray that God showers you with blessings throughout the year.

I had my first baby back in 1995. When I found out I was pregnant I was petrified. I was a single woman of 22 with no chance for a boyfriend let alone a husband. I had no idea what to do. I went to a Dr to find out what would be next and if the home test was accurate. Well, it was accurate, without a doubt. The other bad thing was that the Dr was mean and rude. I was scared and I didn't know what to do. At the same time, my sister-in-law was pregnant and she was going to a midwife. Well, I finally told my family and I went to see Toni. I will tell you that Toni took what was a terrifying and tragic time to me and turned it into a wonderful experience of motherhood. Each time I went to my appointments she greeted me with a hug and a kiss. I was accepted and forgiven by a woman I now consider a huge part of my family. She has been with me through so much with my children. She has been a shoulder to cry on when my two babies passed away and even took the time to come to my little Timothy's funeral. She has laughed at my silliness and didn't bat an eye at my words when the pain would be so intense I wanted to die. She has delivered all 5 of my babies, I count the last one even though I went to the hospital because she did all the work not the doctors or nurses. She loves my children as though they were her own. I will never forget going to her 50th anniversary with her husband and the children at her feet while they danced together. This is exactly how I have always thought of Toni. She loves people and especially children. She has the kindest heart of anyone I have ever met. If you don't know my midwife Toni then you are missing out on a heart of gold.
I am telling you all of this because my dear friend has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig disease and it is progressing very quickly. Please pray for her that she will not suffer too much pain and that she would give her final days and weeks to Christ. She loves the Lord, I know this much to be true. But please pray for her and for her family. She has 10 children herself and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has an abundance of friends and loved ones who have been touched by her in all different ways.
I love you miss Toni, your in my thoughts and my prayers daily.

Finding the cheapest deals

Yesterday was a one day sale on Spiral ham at Safeway. We are having Christmas at our new house this year, so we're expecting about 16 people (mostly Rob, me and the kids). The sale was for half hams or whole. I didn't see any whole ones so I thought I would get a half and then my parents could get a half for me, but I talked to the meat guys and I got a whole ham for .99 a pound. I'm so thrilled. The thing is huge.
I think Amy will be proud of me. I also went to Albertsons and bought $26 worth of stuff for $6. I even got two items for free without using the double dollars. I plan to go back for more today. My Albertsons only let's you do a couple of transactions at a time.
I think I did pretty good. I do have to say though, we have spent way more this week than I had planned on but it all goes to Christmas and I have to think of it that way.

Less diapers

Alainna has been doing so good, now we just have to train Logan to use the upstairs bathroom. It seems that every time he's in there she wets her pants.
She went with only two pull ups today. One because we had to go out for a few hours, but she held it for most of the time then told us she peed. Then the next time Logan was in the bathroom and she couldn't wait, so really, I think she is doing great.

Surgery

Well, I'm on the calendar now. I've decided, along with my family, that it is time for me to stop having babies.
Don't get me wrong, If God wanted me to have 20 more kids I will. But I have prayed about this for awhile and have listened to my body and well, my body says I'm done. So I will be going under on January 14th. Happy birthday to me. When this happens I will be almost 39.
I love my children so much and if I were to have more I would love them too. But I am getting older and the last birth was very painful and we ended up in the hospital.
So, I'm asking for prayer. This is surgery and I've never been in surgery except to get my wisdom teeth out. Even though this surgery is done daily you still have to be put under. I'm not thrilled about this but I see no other way. I'm allergic to about 90% of birth control that is out there. The other stuff I either don't agree with or I'm too afraid to try. Please keep me in prayer and I'll let you know if I wake up. :)

Does anyone read my blog?

I was only wondering. Sometimes, I'm sure everyone feels this way, I feel completely alone even with a house full of kids. I have a ton to do all the time, but when I sit down to be alone for a bit I struggle with getting my focus on God and I start to feel alone. I know that God is ever present and is always with me but there are those times when He is quiet. And that is when I need to be quiet and learn once again to settle down and focus. My favorite verse is "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
I do miss My church very much. I just feel that it is too far away for me to be involved and I really want to be involved with other believers.
So, if anyone is going to Ikea, jot up the hill and see me. My door is always open.

Confession time

I have to confess, I thought I was saving money. But I found out that I forgot to enter a check in the registry. This is rare for me. I am usually right on top of things with the checking account. So, with that, I feel like I'm back to square one. Yuko! Its not that bad but its still an error on my part. Shopping every other week is so nice. It really has freed up some time. I still have to run to the store for milk once more each week because we don't have a freezer for me to store extra but its still not two hours of shopping, now its only 15 minutes or so. I run in and run out, so I'm not looking around at other things. This helps me not to overspend. WooHoo. I really love the thought of getting out of debt.

Another Day of Potty Training

Well, yesterday did not go as planned. Does it ever? My dear sweet Alainna decided to take a break from her potty training and would sit on the toilet but waited for her diaper to go pee. Finally at night she was caught sitting on the toilet and actually going potty. WOW, I am so proud of her.

Diapers beware

One of the many money hungry things that are a need right now in our house are diapers. We have three, beautiful, little love bugs still in them. One is acceptable because he is only 2 months. The other two on the other hand.... One is almost two so we have begun to get her used to the toilet. The other is 3 and a half. Yes, I said 3 1/2. Who said girls are easier never met my daughter Alainna. She refuses to pee in the toilet. Don't get me wrong, she sits on the potty just fine. Every 15 minutes as a matter of fact. But to pee is whole nother thing. She will sit there and hold it until I put her panties back on then she lets loose. This has been going on for almost a year now. I have taken breaks from the potty training during the year. I will work with her for 3 to 4 weeks then take a month off, this is for my sanity. Now I have resorted to taking away her favorite toy; her doll, her baby, her love. This is only day one, but so far so BAD. She is not going to give in. The doll is not as loved as I thought. Her first love is her diaper. Her $48 a month diaper. Ugggg.
When our children decide to take the road of freedom from sitting in waste we put the money used for diapers into an account for them. This money goes towards activities they will eventually want to do, extra luxury clothes or camps that they will attend when they are older. This is a great way to pay for the extras they want without breaking the bank of the parents.
Everyone has something they need to give up or something that is costing them money that they don't need; smoking, drinking, food binges, too many purses or shoes or even just diapers are some examples. Where could you better use the money?? Vacation, a new car, a down payment on a house. How great would it be to do these things with cash instead of on credit.
Keep checking back to find out if the baby gets to go home or if Alainna really does love her diapers more.

Attempting to be frugal

We have always struggled with money like everyone else. But now with owning our first home and having 5 children to raise, we are now trying to pinch pennies as much as possible. We have always had debt in some since or another, with car loans and student loans and credit cards we are pouring out more money to banks than to our own pockets. We're not hurting in the billfold but we also don't have much of a savings.

This month I am determined to save our family money in ways I have only dreamed of. Of course this is a good month to start. We have a large check coming to us from the VA and will use that to pay off one of two credit cards we have. But with that aside I want to see how far we can stretch an average paycheck. My husband gets paid weekly and I get paid monthly so we have come up with a budget to fit our needs. I hope you have the ambition as we do to stretch the dollar and see where you can save and how you can become debt free.

When you look in my eyes I am awed by the Almighty God who has blessed me 7 times over. You are a part of a loving family who will always be there for you. You look like your big brother with your brown hair and all your features. You are so precious when you smile and laugh and when you sleep and even when you cry. I am so in love with you and with all your brothers and sisters. I cannot thank my Lord enough for all that I have.

On December 1 our little Timothy was born at 20 weeks after he had gone to be with the Lord. We are still broken with the loss but are praising God each day that Timothy is with Him. We also remember our little baby that was lost to us between Colton and Alainna at 12 weeks. We don't know if the baby was a boy or girl but we do know that she is loved and being well taken care of by our Lord.

We can praise God too for the birth of William Albert who was conceived only two weeks after having Timothy. He is truly a miracle to us and the love of our hearts.

Alainna turns 3

She would love to be 4, but on August 14th my beautiful little lady turned 3. We had a small (very small) party for her. She loved it though. Alainna is a wonderful help with cleaning the house she has really taken control of the messes that are made. She loves to be a mommy to her baby doll as well as her little sister. She doesn't like to eat right now, but when she does her favorite food is olives. I love my little princess. She is very precious to me.

Another summer

Well, its official. School is out. After locking myself in my room screaming and crying I finally regained my composure and went before the Lord to seek His forgiveness and His wisdom. First of all I should not have had a temper tantrum. I knew summer was coming. If you have a child with or have encountered a child with Asperger's you will know what summer means. This is the time of year where my buttons are pushed beyond my limits and where I learn to trust God even more than I ever thought possible as a human. "What's so different with your son than with my child", you ask. With my son it doesn't end even through the night. He is 14 and cannot sleep. He wonders the house through the night sleeping here and there. This alone takes a toll on him and his attitude for the day. Add that to Asperger's and puberty and you have a total mess, an emotional melt down, an angry and in your face with fists raised teenage boy. When I do get to shut my eyes for some rest it is very restless sleep. My heart aches for my son. I pray continueally for him and for his future. I wonder when he will make a true friend, one he can trust. Not someone who says they are a friend but then turns on him and makes fun of him to the point of tears. Or someone who says yah, we can be friends but ignores his calls or his hellos when he sees them. This is not just at school but this is in church as well. Of course my son has no idea they are being cruel. He forgives them over and over again only to be humiliated each time. He says they will change but in the end they never do. And still he forgives. I pray and wonder if he will ever be able to keep a job with the quick temper and lack of respect for authority he has. Yes, we do discipline in our home. We even believe in corporal punishment. We use our discipline to train our children and we forgive them just as Christ has called us to do. It has been said before behind my back as well as to me that I do not love my children because of my son's attitude and his actions. But I know that these people do not see me through God's eyes nor does God see me through their's. God knows my deep love for my son and my other children. They are not perfect nor am I. But each one of us will keep runing the race we are supposed to run, we will look to God as our example and not to anyone else. And when the race is done I just pray that each one of my children will have run with all their strength, all their soul and all their might. May they glorify God throughout their life and thank Him for all He has given them. So summer is here once again. I will try to do all I can to enjoy it and to learn from it.

Well, we are finally moved in. We love our home. There have been a few things that we have had to fix and replace but for the most part it is perfect. Since we've moved all of us are feeling a lot better when it comes to allergies and sinuses. Lizzy is still getting her monthly ear infections though. Logan loves his school. He's actually brought all his grades up to a "B" average. He's made friends and has learned to talk to others socially while watching some of these friends of his, so no enemies that we know of. We've already met and have had many conversations with our neighbors. They are all very nice and friendly. Every year they have a block party and the people who used to live in our home were the ones who planned it. I asked if we were to take over now and they just laughed and said they would give us a year to get settled in first. I tried to go to my first King County meeting for CEF last night but I could not find it. After driving around for over an hour I finally came home. I was so upset. I wanted to be there so badly. I hope that the people of King County understand and are forgiving.
A part in our dryer blew out last week so we were without a dryer for awhile. But, my mom only lives 5 minutes from us now so we were able to use her dryer. I took the part we thought was the problem to the parts place that was recommended. They tested it and found it was find but told me which part was probably bad and to bring it in to be tested. I did and it was bad. If we had gone to Sears parts we would have spent a ton of money buying parts we didn't need. These people were great.
I have to say I miss Fred Meyer in Bonney Lake. The people there were very nice and helpful. Even the customers were friendly for the most part. The Fred Meyer in Kent on East Hill however is a whole nother world. The workers are fine. The customers though could use a good mouth washing. I've been there 3 times already and each time the people are encredibly rude and mean . One lady was cussing at my two year old because she was crying, she had smashed her fingers in a door and the lady was on her cell phone and couldn't hear. Why do people have to be so mean. I know its sin but I know many non-believers who would never act this way. And they way people drive here.... I feel like we've moved to another state or something.
I have more letters to write and send out to Pastors today to host 5-day clubs in King County. I'm really hoping to get churches to commit to at least 3 clubs each. We need them by June 20th. Please pray with me as we search for homes to invite children in to hear about the Lord.

This is one family that will never attend another Mariner's game

Last Friday a strip club was opened up only 400 feet from Safeco field. They have a giant electronic billboard that they claim will not show provocative pictures ONLY during kid friendly games. I thought baseball as a whole was supposed to be kid friendly. They also are allowed to hand out business card sized advertisements outside the stadium to anyone and everyone they want. So if I did choose to take my family to a game, my 14 year old son could easily be approached by a stripper with a business card, or how about my 3 year old. I know this happens on the streets of Vegas and that's why I have never gone and never will go to a place where God's enemies are lurking to lure our sons and men and even me into adultery and temptation. You can defend the Mariners all you want but they did not do enough to stop this business from opening up; actually they did nothing at all. The owners of Safeco Field are the ones who filed a lawsuit and then dropped it after coming to an "understanding" that they won't advertise on kid friendly days or hand out anything larger than a business card for advertising. So really the Mariners did nothing at all to protect the kids of the community that they are continually praised for helping in other areas. And what about all the Mariner fans?? I am not one, I am a Yankee fan. I haven't heard anything about them protesting or trying to stop this horrible act of lewdness from happening. Where is the church in all this. When will the church take a stand and shout out enough!!! Just because the Bible says the world will get worse doesn't mean you have to sit back and watch. We, as a Christians should stop allowing ourselves to be lazy and quiet. A Christian is a Christ follower. When you do nothing or say nothing then who are you following? Why are we so afraid to speak out. Doesn't Jesus promise us that He will be with us and that no one can harm us (spiritually). No one can come between Jesus and a true Christian. Didn't Jesus stand for the truth of the Gospel. Aren't we supposed to be like Him. I don't recall anywhere where He tolerated sin, if He did then prove it to me. Why are we tolerating it ourselves. Quotes like, "well, I'm strong enough that it doesn't bother me" or "I just don't walk on that side of the field" is tolerance.
What am I going to do? I'm going to write letters to the Mariners. I'm not going to take my family to anymore games. I'm going to inform others of what is going on with word of mouth as well as writing this blog. I can't afford to sue, but I do have a voice. And I do love the Lord with all my heart that I refuse to tolerate such filth. I won't tolerate these espresso stands in my city either and I have spoken up about it. What are you going to do?

Its been a while

I know I haven't posted in a while. I have been so sick, as usual. I was starting to get sleep at night and now I have a horrible cough that keeps me up all night and Lizzy has another double ear infection. We also have been so busy. We are packing like crazy. We've packed things that we still could have left out for use but we're learning to live without for now. We have 14 days until we sign the papers for our house and 19 days until we move in. I'm so excited beyond words. I pray that our loan goes through. There is one thing on my credit from over 7 years ago and its still looming out there like a bad toothache. But, God is in control and He knows how much we need to move. Also, we gave our 20 day notice here at the townhouse and they won't allow you to take it back. We don't want it back anyway. If you ever plan to rent don't rent from Kalles Properties. They have been the worst landlords. They have not once gone by the tenant/landlord laws and we have had to fight them for things many times in the last 4 years we have lived here. They are also extremely rude and use threats to try to scare us into not filing a complaint with the AG. But, it doesn't work I don't really like to be threatened.
But, for many reasons we are excited to have our own home.
We went to see Timothy's new marker on Easter. Its very beautiful. I wish he were with us. He was due to be born on April 20th so this is a hard month for me. He got to spend resurrection day with Jesus, there isn't anything better than that. I have a newsletter to write and CEF stuff to finish. I'll start working with King County as soon as I finish training the new bookkeeper for Pierce county. I won't have to do the books any more woo hoo. I still need $400 a month in support so I'm praying asking for 20 people to support me $20 a month. I know that God has these people in mind now I just need to find them. Huge thank you to Amy Woods for the Alfredo Sauce recipe. I made chicken Alfredo with Broccoli in it. I also made Italian bread with tomato, garlic and an oil mixture. Oh man, this was the best. I didn't take pictures. But, I'm making the bread again on Saturday with stuffed Portabelo mushrooms and carbenara (spelling?). I'll take pictures then. Rob was in heaven, he loves Italian food and I don't make it enough.

Last Thursday I got up at 5:30 as I usually do every weekday. I got Rob up and off to work. At 6:00 I got Logan up and off to school. At 6:30 I took a shower and got myself ready for the day. At 7:00 I made two loaves of banana bread for MOPS and sat down to read a verse and then get some very important CEF work done. At 7:45 I got the kids up and dressed and fed, while doing this I put my own shoes and socks on. At 8:20 I put the kids in the car came back in the house to get my keys and turn off lights then it happened. I stepped on my shoe lace and it came untied, As I bent down to retie my shoe I noticed something odd. I had two different shoes on. I quickly switched one shoe with the right one and laughed the whole way to MOPS. I just love days like these, they help me to remember to laugh and be joyful for all that God has blessed me with.

We have been in a whirlwind here at our house. Someone is always sick. Lizzy has had double ear infections 2 months in a row. Now she, Colton and Alainna all have RSV. Lizzy and Colton are on Anitbiotics and they all are slowing getting better.
This weekend we mad an offer on another house. We didn't get our hopes up. We've made about 9 offers the last year and all of them were not accepted. But the owners of this house accepted our offer. They sign the papers to accept hopefully today. They are a Christian family who own their home outright so they were able to take a lower offer, one we could afford. Its a four bedroom home, its on the small side but the yard is huge and beautiful. There is a small sitting room next to the bedroom that isn't big enough to be considered a bedroom but big enough for a nursery for when the new baby comes. The house is in Kent on the East Hill. Its an hour closer to Rob's work. We are so excited.
Yes that's right, more news. I'm 10 1/2 weeks pregnant. Because I got pregnant right away after Timothy my body's hormones never went down so I haven't been sick at all. very slight nausea a couple of afternoons but nothing a piece of yellow cheese couldn't fix. If you have morning sickness try yellow cheese, works great. One bad thing about being pregnant so fast is that my Uturus never went down, so the baby has too much room right now and can move around a lot. That's how we lost Timothy. So please pray that the baby will be safe. We tried to keep it a secret but I'm showing a lot. So we will be expecting to have number 6 on September 11, 2010. I'll post pictures of the home later.

Downword spiral or Slump?

Lately I have been in a slump. Some people would says its depression but I don't think so, I have even called it that but I still get up and enjoy my kids. I cannot wait for summer. I need to be out of this house. We have been so sick lately that we have made it to church only once in the last two months. I have no physical fellowship with other believers except at MOPS which is not often enough. I am without a fellow Believer for mostly 24 days a month. I do talk to my dear friend Liz often during the week. But I need to BE with people who love the Lord, I need to be encouraged face to face. I have a lot of things going on in my personal life that need prayer and support. Whether I share these things or not I just need to know that God's people are there.
So, on the next nice day. If you don't have plans let's take our children to the zoo. I'm not talking to anyone in particular but to everyone. If you feel the same blah from the rain and the sickness of winter then lets find a day and get out of the house. Even if you don't have kids you can come. I think I just need to laugh with other moms, watch my children make friends and just fellowship with other Believers.
Does this sound like fun? It does to me.

Tired of being sick

This has been the worst winter for us. We have all had everything that is going around except H1N1. I have barely made it to do things such as grocery shop or running the errands for CEF and to do CEF training. We have had colds, chills, soar throats, body aches, stomach flues, Lizzy has had 4 mollers coming through and the list goes on. I think we have been sick for 3 months strait. Right now I'm writing this while I have another stomach flu or some sort of bug, Alainna and Rob have it as well. I really miss church. If you ever think of it could you pray that we would be well enough to attend church more than just one Sunday every 4 or 5 weeks. My attitude is not that great when I miss church this much and there are days when one of us is so sick that I can't get any time in with the Lord.
Dear Heavenly Father, Please heal each one of my family members. Make us well so we can enjoy time with you and with other believers. In Jesus Name Amen.

My baby was honored

As I was sitting watching the memorial clips for officer Kent Mundell the other day I couldn't help but think of my little baby Timothy. If you weren't aware of it, Mr. Mundell and the other 4 officers who were so brutally killed after Thanksgiving were all taken care of and watched over at Mount View Cemetery. This is where my baby is resting today.

Mr. Mundell was being carried in a white hurse, one of the same ones that carried one of the four officers in Tacoma and one of the same ones that carried my little baby.

The people at the cemetery treated my little precious baby the same way they treated the officers who served and died for the people of Washington State. They took care of him and guarded his body and drove him in a beautiful white hurse to his resting site. They did all of this without hesitation with love for me and my family as well as for my son. And they did all this for free.

Strangers lined the streets to give honor and to pay respect to the officers. Hundreds of people were at the memorials even though they had never met the officers themselves. And they will forever be remembered by their friends and family. Being honored means being respected.
My son to was honored by strangers just for being my baby and he is forever remembered by his loved ones. I am just amazed by the love and the respect the people at Mount View gave us and gave our son.

Smoking and weight loss

Rob told me on December 30th that he was going to quit smoking, Praise the Lord for this. I didn't know that he was going cold turkey though. He started on the first and now it has been 5 days. I am so proud of him. Please pray for him to keep it up. This is his choice not mine so I am determined not to nag him, but to encourage him. One of the ways I am trying to encourage him is that I have started my New Years "diet". Really its not a diet, I've just cut way back on sugars and starches and calories. I asked Rob how long he thought he could go before it became unbearable for him and he said two weeks. So with that we have decided to keep each other accountable for only two weeks to start with. After two weeks we will go one week at a time. We both have to be honest with one another, which of course I'm all for that's one thing that keeps a marriage strong. No cheating. He's on day 5 and I'm on day 4. I didn't know he was going cold turkey until half way through the 1st of the year that's why I'm one day behind. This is a huge answer to prayer for me in so many ways. I'm so proud of my husband.

Wow! It is quiet here. Its New Years Eve and I just put all three little ones down for a late nap. This is a first in a long time. I am so tired, you would think I would be sleeping myself. Lizzy has been up every two hours for the last 4 nights. She just smiles at you when she has woken you from a deep sleep, I can't seem to get mad at her. I do, however, wish she would sleep a little longer.

We have been so blessed this Christmas with family and friends. My husband and I both agree that we are addicted to our kids. They make us laugh and love us back so much.

This year we have been blessed with our little Lizzy. She was born on January 13 and is an added joy to our family. We also have had many sorrows, some personal, and then the loss of our beloved Timothy. What a beautiful baby he is to me. I think of him daily and I think, he has Christmas every day. I pray daily for Christ's return so we can all be together as a family. Until then I pray also for salvation for my kids and I strive to train my children in the way of our Lord. If I can teach them to keep Christ at the center of their lives then they too can have Christmas every day.

This coming year Rob and I hope that we can find a home to meet our growing family's needs. One that is close enough to his work and within our budget. I also am still planning on resigning from CEF this year. My goal is April, we will see what God's goal is first though. :) I am really having a hard time raising my children the way I would like and giving CEF the attention it needs.

We are still potty training Colton. He is not easy. He goes on the toilet when I tell him to, but he doesn't go when he fills the need. I would like to have Alainna potty trained this year as well. If anyone wants to come over and do this for me, that would be great. This is not my favorite part of being a mother.

Logan is attending Youth For Christ and LOVES it. He is making friends and wants to change schools now so he can be with his new friends. We'll see.

Lizzy has started walking while pushing her scooter. She laughs and scoots around. When does she not laugh? I have never seen a baby as happy as she is. She is really a comfort and a wonderful blessing to me at this time.

Just updates

Christmas is only 4 days away and I still am not completely done shopping. As I am typing this, little Lizzy is unfolding all the clothes I just folded. No, I don't put them away as soon as I am done. That would mean walking up the stairs and I just don't have the energy right now.
I'm missing feeling my baby in my stomach right now. We have a wonderful picture of Timothy but its not the same as all the fun and excitement of being pregnant with him and looking forward to having him at home with me.
Lizzy is trying to walk. She has tempted it and has nose dived. She follows Alainna around like a shadow and cries or screams when big sister won't pay any attention to her. Alainna does play with her a lot though and they have fun laughing and pretending.
Colton has been sick again this winter. He seems to not do well during this time of year. We now wonder if he is allergic to the Christmas tree. Weird huh? He loves to learn and can now read 5 or 6 words. He reads his alphabet and can read numbers up to 60. He can also count backwards from 12. He is a crack up as well. He says thank you and no thank you in every sentence. Where he gets that I don't know.
Logan is staying at Grandma and Grandpa's. He loves it there because he can play on the computer. He's there for 3 nights. I'm so thankful that he has Grandparents to spend time with.
Rob is working hard for us. He is so tired of the hours but he's sticking with it. We hope and pray that we can move closer to his work soon. This will cut off between 30 to 60 minutes one way for his commute depending on the time of day and traffic.
I'm just thankful for all my children. I miss not having the two, who are in heaven, here with me. But they are safe and loved more than I can give. I cannot wait to see them.
Still working with CEF. I love the work and I wish I can go back to doing as much as I used to. But the Lord wants me at home to raise my children for now. Thank you for your prayers and cards during our loss. We are so thankful.

As I sit here and think of what to write, I cannot help but think of all the mom's and dad's who have mourned a child. My heart breaks for each one as it is breaking over the loss of my own baby. The kind words that everyone has said is so much appreciated by Rob and I, but to be honest, only God can comfort me right now. I miss not feeling my baby move and I miss not being able to hold him and love him as only a mother can. My little Timothy went home to be with our Lord on December 1, 2009. He was only 19 weeks in my womb but he will be in our hearts forever. He was very healthy and growing to be very strong. He moved around so much that he ended up puting a knot in his ambilical cord. God's Word says, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This is for both me and my baby. God had a plan for me to carry my son for a short time. I don't know why but I don't need to question His plans, for according to His Word they are good. God's plan for my son goes so well with the verse I just quoted from Jeremiah, my son is in heaven with Christ with no harm, with pure hope and an eternal future with Him.

We are so blessed with all the family and friends who have helped us through this hard time. My words of thanks cannot compare to your prayers and gifts of love. Many of you have given us food on days when I can't even think of what to feed my family. And so many have shared cards and prayers that I just hold dear to my heart. We have also been blessed with those who have given us gifts of money to help pay for the marker for little Timothy. We now have enough to purchase it and will be doing this tomorrow. This is months earlier than we could have hoped for.

On Friday the 11th we laid our little Timothy Alan to rest at Mount View Cemetary in Lakewood. This wonderful cemetary allowed us to rest our child there for free. They paid for the chapel, casket, plot, program and a book showing us who came to mourn with us. We could not have done this without their kindness. My dear friend Liz found them on the internet when we didn't even know what to do with our little boy. God is so good to give us a friend in Liz and a beautiful place for our boy's body to sleep until Christ comes. We know his soul is already in the arms of Jesus. He is with his sibling who we lost between Colton and Alainna. We didn't know what sex that baby was but they were loved just as much as all my other children. We never named that baby because we didn't know if it was a boy or girl. Rob and I both came up with the same name to name it though just the other day. We both thought of Grace, God's Word says, "my Grace is sufficent for you". We know that He will sustain us until His return.

What an awesome God we serve. If you are reading this and you do not know the true and wonderful Grace of God then email me and I would love to talk to you about how you can know Him. I would not be able to go on day to day without Him.

I am also so blessed to have my husband and my children. My four beautiful children have been so wonderful these last couple of weeks. They have wanted more hugs and kisses than usual and have kept me busy so I am not able to dwell on my loss and wollow in my sorrow. Oh to know Christ and to be able to live and move on, remembering my baby and knowing that I WILL see him again one day. This makes me sing praises and celebrate my Lord. What a mighty God we serve.

Pumkin Patch

Every year of our marriage we have gone to Marris Farms in Buckley to enjoy the pumpkin patch and every year we have a great time. This year however, we were greatly disappointed. We are always on a tight budget, this is why we liked Marris Farms. They were free to get in and all we had to pay for was the pumpkin. Of course if you wanted to do the other things like the corn maze or the kids games you had to pay extra but that was an option. This year you had to pay for everyone to just get in. It was $5 per person and that did not include the corn maze. With our large family it came to $25 just to walk through the front gate. We hardly did any of the fun and games because it was so crowded (the crowding was of course not their fault). We were only there for an hour picked one pumpkin because it was so expensive and went home. In all we spent $35 for a pumpkin. If you have the money by all means go. But I recommend finding a pumpkin patch that is free to get into and where you have the option to pay for the extras. The economy is not getting any better and I'm very disappointed that Marris Farms has decided to take advantage of it in this way. We won't be going back anytime in the future.

On the 13th Lizzy turned 9 months. She is such a joy to have. I am so blessed to have the children that I have and I would not trade even the toughest times. Lizzy has 7 teath now, she only weights 17 pounds and is 28" inches long, so she's short and thin. Nothing like her brother and sister at this age. She is crawling everywhere and follows her big sister all over. She's been pulling her self up and says mama and dada. I have never seen a more happier baby. Even when she's sick she's happy. She has 3 shots on Wednesday and one of them caused a reaction, she's doing much better now though. I will post a picture a little later.
Alainna is learning her letters and Colton can count to 50. Logan's grades are not that good, but I'm not too worried yet. I just want him to pass, so please pray that he would focus and study. I can't force him to do either one but I can encourage him.
Rob works too much and I hate it, but I am thankful he has a job.
We can't afford a home, even in this market. I'm going to be quiting CEF next year and we won't be able to afford rent then either, so please keep up in mind when you pray.

Rob and I had a much needed afternoon together. We were gone 6 hours. It was wonderful! We went to Bellevue to a restaurant called Maggianos. It was excellent. The food was so good and the service was perfect. I highly recommend it to everyone. You can go to their website Maggianos.com. We also walked around Bellevue Square and saw a movie. I love my husband and I'm so glad for the time alone with him.

Well, I'm 6 1/2 wks along. I can't wait until the morning sickness is gone. Its now targeting only the late afternoon and evening. I think I would rather have it in the morning and then have it done for the day. I'm nauseous all day though, but throwing up in the afternoons now. Sunday was the worst, I couldn't even move without throwing up. Logan is always a blessing to me during these times. He is the biggest help anyone could ever have. The only thing he won't do for me is change the diapers. He has even rubbed my feet for me. I love him soooo much.
Lizzy is scooting more than crawling. She only uses one arm too. She uses her left arm to scoot and her right arm to reach. Man can she move though. Alainna loves her to death and is so gentle with her. The other day she set the tea set up for them and included Lizzy. Colton is a huge climber and I can't keep him off the top of the funiture. He needs a jungle gym.
Logan is going back to public school this year. He plans to join the swim team next year and ROTC, if he can do both. I need to get him into piano lessons soon. If anyone knows anybody in Bonney Lake who teaches for very little money let me know. I have to change diapers and clean a bathroom before my vomiting starts up.

Yes, I am pregnant. And no this is not funny. We have tried almost every birthcontrol options out there. It is not easy having all three little ones with morning sickness. Please pray that it will go away very quickly.

We had a great time with Sam and Kecia and the kids. They were here the week before the 4th and during the 4th. We went to the zoo and had a picnic at mom's on the 4th. The kids had a blast. Logan went home with the Haylor's for a month and a half. It was supposed to be for only one month but my Aunt and Uncle are driving up here from CA so they will bring Logan home for us. It will save us a lot of money.

I've started making Car organizers for kids of all ages. I started with making them for my own children for our trip to CA. They worked great. I made a train one for Colton and a Tinker Bell one for Alainna. I'm making one now for Logan and for Lizzy. I also make organizers for sewing items to hang from the back of a chair. Colton's 3rd birthday

I'm a little behind I know. We have all had that stomach flu that has lasted over a week. Lizzy and I are still not feeling well.

Colton's 3rd birthday party was fun. We had a surprise visit from my Aunt and Uncle. Colton's favorite food is tomatoes so I was able to get a tomato cake. It was a very nice day so we had a BBQ. My mom and her sister are so funny when they are together, we laughed so hard.

Well. I haven't lost any weight (but I haven't weighed myself today yet). I have however lost inches, so many that I'm down a dress size. My shape is finally coming back.
Colton cought Pink eye, its almost gone now. He's so funny, he tells me lately, "I'm sad" and looks downcast, then starts laughing. I'm not sure where he got that one from.
Alainna is a bully. This is a tuff age, especially when you have two kids going through the terrible two's at the same time. I have a lot of training to do and I'm relying on the Lord to see me through.
Logan will be going to camp next Friday for 9 days. Then Sam and Kecia and the kids will be here for a week. After that he will be going home with Sam and Kecia for a whole month. He is so excited. He will be swimming, doing archery, learning about horses, dirt bike riding and spending some time with my brother Sam.
Lizzy is growing like a weed. She rolls everywhere and is putting her knees under her already. she is the happiest baby ever.

Losing weight is hard work

Well, as you can see by my ticker, I had lost 7 pounds. I gained it back when we went on vacation. But, Praise the Lord, I have stuck to a low calorie diet and a very hard and very successful workout. I've lost the 7 pounds once again, but the nicest thing are the inches. My waist is getting smaller with the workouts and I feel a whole lot more energized throughout the day. My goal is to lose 8 more pounds by June 27th then 10 more after that for our anniversary. Keep watching the ticker and hopefully you will see it move.

We spent Memorial in beautiful weather. We went to the Tacoma National Cemetery where they had a very nice ceremony. Then we went to Mom's for dinner. Charlene and Nick were there and so were my mom's neighbors.

We finally had a nice family vacation with family. We drove down to see Sam and Kecia and the gang. What a wonderful welcome we received. We drove through the night so the kids slept 10 out of the 12 hours. Rob and I were tired, but we managed. We looked around at some home and boy are they nice and cheap right now, but the taxes are huge for new homes. Rob's job doesn't have any openings down there right now either, so California will have to wait. Bummer. We went to the train museum one day, it was nice but the volunteers were pretty grumpy toward all the kids. We went swimming one day and Logan got to ride dirt bikes. Logan also got to shoot some bow and arrow, of course he loved it. Rob and I got much needed rest. Kecia is such a wonderful hostess, she held and fed the baby as much as she could. The rest of the kids entertained Colton and Alainna for us so we could nap and rest. Thank you guys!!!!

The kids are waking so this will be quick. Lizzy has her first tooth already at 3 months, she's working on a second one. Alainna said I love you for the first time to Grandpa. This was so special because he just loves her and has a nick-name for her, Annie. (we don't know why). Colton has a tummy ache but loves the weather and being outside. Logan is trying to finish school for the year. We're getting ready for our vacation in 9 more days. And my hormones are whacked so I'm going to the Dr. I really think I have PPD, having 4 pregnancies and 3 births in 3 years can really screw a person up. Pray for my husband, he has to put up with me.

We are so excited! We've been approved for a great loan at a really low interest rate. We looked around Kent and Covington over the weekend and didn't find anything we liked. As we were coming home it snowed and we ended up with a couple of inches that night. That was the straw that broke the camels back. We are going down to California for a visit in May and we're going to look for a house down there. Rob has the wonderful chance to transfer if they have an opening so we are praying that when we get down there we will have some success in both areas. We went on line to look at some homes and found some great homes in our price range. I'm so excited for a change and for some sunny weather.

My husband was making a delivery over by the Seattle zoo. While he was waiting for a light to change a huge dog came walking out of the front entrance of the zoo. He thought for a minute about this picture, then he realized that's not any ordinary dog that's a wolf. He watched it go and noticed the direction it was headed was toward the mountains. After a minute a zoo truck came screaching to a hault at the light and couldn't figure out which way to go. My husband got out of his truck and pointed "it went that way". With lights flashing and horn honking the truck sped off. This time the boy who cried wolf wasn't lying.
I'm thinking of getting him a camera to carry around with him.

CEF Banquet

Yesterday was the CEF banquet. We had a good turn out, it can always be better. I'm always very surprised by the small turn out compared to all the people who attend churches in Pierce County. I know that many people are already involved in ministry elsewhere but there are many many more who do nothing when it comes to serving the Lord in a ministry. Yes we should be serving in our churches but the mission field is beyond the doors and the walls of the building. I see many young couples and especially young moms who are home with kids who could be doing things for missions. Some things that CEF is in need of are:
1. people to be at home and answer the phone for one hour a week. We have the Tel-A-Story where children call and hear a different Bible story every day. We need counselors who could pray for these children or counsel them when they have questions.
2. Teachers and helpers for clubs that are once a week for 1 1/2 hours. These clubs are in the public schools and in homes.
3. We need homes for clubs.
4. I need a babysitter for once a week so I can do my club.
There are so many needs that you can be a part of. Please pray for these things and get out and do them. What are people waiting for??? The needs are great and the workers are so very few. Won't you be a part of reaching others with the Gospel?!

My baby Lizzy is now 2 months. I love how she is growing up already. She loves to laugh and talks a lot. She loves her brothers and sister. One of her favorite things to do is to sit straight up so she can see everything that is going on. She's sleeps about 6 hours at night, just not the 6 hours we want. Oh well.... Happy Birthday sweet Lizzy!

Edgewood Bible Church Missions Conference

I have been wanting to write about the missions conference this last weekend, but life is so busy when you have little ones, (imagine that). The missions conference at my church has always been the highlight of the year for me. This year was just as wonderful and enriching as always. I've been attending Valley Bible church for 18 years, this Summer, and each year the conference gets better and better. This year was my favorite speaker, Vincent Price. He has such a love for the unsaved. It reminded me that my tears have been wasted on selfish needs and wants. I pray everyday that my heart would be broken for the unsaved and that I would take every opportunity to share God's Word with them.
Another thing I am going to pray for is that our church would be emptied of its people. Strange I know. I pray that EBC would be filled with new faces and all the people who attend there now would be out in the mission field with full support sharing the Good News of Christ. Of course there is a huge need here for missions but that is what the new people would be doing, ministering here in Pierce County.
I was a bit disappointed by the Sunday evening service. Where was everyone? I know Pastor Frank, where am I every Sunday evening..... I do have a very good excuse and anyone can ask me about it. But this was a time when the missionaries asked for specific prayer needs. This also was a time when the church came together to send each missionary out into the field. This "field" is not sweet but it is a bitter world. We need people to be praying for us! We need to be encouraged. Even the missionaries who are serving here in our state and in our area need encouragement. Please don't forget about us. Marlene and I have been confronted by people who don't want us in their schools or even at the fairs. I have had someone call my home and threaten me because of the clubs in the schools. It is not easy and we struggle spiritually and emotionally everyday. But praise be to God for His continued strength. We can lean on Him and go to Him for encouragement through His Word and prayer. I love my Lord and I know that He loves me.
I plan to attend another missions conference this Sunday and I can't wait to meet knew people and to share our ministry with them.
