Fourth of July

 What a great day we had with my parents. My mom had broken her ankle so she has been laid up for a while. I think it really made her day to have the kids there enjoying her company. They didn't want to leave they had so much fun. I didn't get many pictures because Lizzy had a hard time with the fireworks but I'll post the ones I did get. I hope your 4th was just as wonderful as ours.

Just a little out of sorts

I know I haven't posted in a while. My days are crazy busy. And my computer hasn't worked right since I lost my temper with it a while back. I cannot believe how tired I am. I have only slept past 6 hours maybe 3 times since William was born. I average 3 to 5 hours a night. Last night was a 3 hour night. Lizzy woke up with croup and well, William just wakes up every night. None of the other kids would wake up at night past 7 months. Lizzy did a couple of times but nothing like her little brother who has to be up every night. I am hoping and praying that my sister would agree to help my mom watch the kids for one night in August on our anniversary. It would be so nice to sleep. I plan to take some tylonal PM so I won't wake up from habit.
Don't you just hate it when you can't find something that you know you've used recently. I need an envelope and I know that I have a bunch of them and I can't find them anywhere. My house is so unorganized. We are trying to get ready for a large garage sale. I want to get rid of everything in a box except pictures. This will clear up every closet in our home, the garage and make room for a new pantry and laundry room. I just have to wait for a weekend when my husband won't be busy and we can do this together. I'm going to need his help. I can't watch the sale and the kids at the same time. With the money we want to put some in savings and buy everyone new clothes. I cannot believe how often I have to buy them all clothes.
William has been walking along the furniture for a couple of weeks now. He still falls and hits his head at times. We try to keep pillows down but they don't always work. He'll just be 9 months tomorrow, June 15.
Well, off to find those envelopes, oh and the birth certificate we lost in our move. Is anyone else out there as absent minded as I am?

weight loss results and pictures





Okay, the 90 days of Chalean extreame are over. I did not finish the last week do to the little ones being sick (again). I have really seen a difference in my energy level, my mood, my strength and my overall health. When I don't work out like this last week, I feel horrible and tired. I also have to give a lot of the credit to shakeology. It has really helped me to be on track with eating and has given me the extra boost I need to get through the long nights with sick kids. I am so glad to have done this challenge. Now for the results.

Here is my weight and measurements from when I started March 1

Weight: 199

Waist: 41 inches

Hips: 44 inches

Chest: 41 inches

Right Arm: 13.5 inches

Left Arm: 13 inches

Right Thigh: 25 inches

Left Thigh: 26 inches

Body fat: 32%



Here are my results as of today.

Weight: 182

Waist: 35 inches

Hips: 41 inches

Chest: 38 inches

Right Arm: 12 inches

Left Arm: 12 inches

Right Thigh: 23 inches

Left Thigh: 23 inches

Body Fat: 24%


That comes out to be 17 pounds lost

6 inches lost on my waist and 19.5 inches total. And a lost of 8% body fat.

I really wanted to lose more, but I'm very happy with the results.

I love CLX so much that I'm going to start it all over again on Monday. I'm really going to focus on my eating habits and see if I can't lose more this time around. I really let my eating go during the 3rd month. I really couldn't do this alone. My accountability group from Beach Body has been awesome. Weight Loss Update



This last week was very hard for me. I didn't have any ambition to work out. I still kept eating healthy good foods. I ended up taking a full week off from my workout. This is not supposed to happen when your on a challenge. I am happy to report that I didn't gain any weight. I'm still 17 pounds lost and over 30 inches smaller. Shakeology is excellent. It keeps me on track and it helps me to stay away from the cravings that I do have. I was able to have energy, eat less and stay at my weight lost. This is exciting for me to know for when I do reach my goal weight. I know now that with a healthy diet and Shakeology I can keep the weight off. I did eat pasta during the weekend, I made chicken Alfredo with cheesy bread. I cannot eat that again though. Too much dairy. Even with lactate pills I still was up all night sick. It sure was good, but not worth it.

My Mother's Day




Mother's Day was so nice. I wish it were every day. Rob let me sleep in and he got up with William at 6:40. William actually slept in, he is usually up at 5:00. This was a huge gift from the both of them. Then Colton and Rob made me breakfast in bed with a red rose. I broke down and ate the toast. Eggs and bacon on toast is always a treat for me along with a nice hot cup of coffee. Lizzy came in and helped me eat my eggs. Alainna laid down next to me and told me how she's going to be a mommy someday to four babies. And Logan put on Johnny Horton for me to listen to. It was a great start to the morning. I wanted to go to church but we ended up skipping. I think we need to keep looking for a church to worship in. The one we've been attending for a few months is not teaching right on with what scripture says about salvation. I would love to go back to Edgewood but its so far to be involved with and I really want to be involved with a church close to home. My heart is really burdened with this.

Back to Mother's Day. I went with Logan to Fred Meyers to check out there Founders Day sale and write down prices for my grocery list on Friday. I ended buying 3 new tops for $11 each down from $40. I needed them. I only have maternity and really old tops so this was a nice gift.

When I got home I watched half of Pride and Prejudice before I fell asleep for a two hour nap. Then my dad came over for a nice visit and we had Round Table pizza and ended the day with Cheese cake. I ate so much that when I woke up this morning I was still full, bloated and sick.

Today will be focused on Shakeology to help the bloating and the sick feeling go away and back to eating lean foods. I love that its not a diet that I'm doing but a way of life. If I eat crummy for one meal I just go back to lean eating after that. This is what I like about Shakeology, it helps me to get back on track while taking cravings away and keeps me full for a couple of hours.

Sample of my weekly food intake and exercise schedule


  • I thought some of you might want to know what kinds of food I'm taking in and what exercises I'm doing to keep my weight loss going.

    I use Chalean Extreme for exercise. I love it. I think you already know this.
    Monday - About 45 minutes of weights
    Tuesday - Rest
    Wednesday - 45 minutes of weights
    Thursday - Cardio for 45 minutes and abs for 15 minutes
    Friday - 45 minutes of weights
    Saturday - cardio for about 30 minutes and getting lean (yoga moves) for about 30 minutes
    Sunday - Rest

    My day to day diet changes very little.

  • I usually start my breakfast with 2 eggs and sometimes ham and a cup of coffee

  • Then two hours later I have a snack of 30 Almonds. Yummm

  • Two to three hours later I have lunch - this is usually a tuna fish sandwich on a skinny whole wheat bagel. Sometimes I will have a salad with chicken or tuna if I know I'm going to have bread for dinner.

  • I wait three hours to have my next snack and I have practically another meal. I drink my shakeology, this is a super yummy chocolate shake with skim milk. I'm going to try it with Almond milk this week.

  • For Dinner I have either: chicken, pork chops, or fish. Once a week its steak or hamburger. And a vegi to go with it.

I try to keep my calories between 1300 and 1500.

And there it is. Everything is made with spices and certain sauces to make it all yummy . Rob, Logan and Lizzy all like what I made. Alainna and Colton don't. But they'll learn. :)

What is CLX? And 60 days into it




CLX - Chalean Extreme. You want to get extreme?! You want to have a workout that works for you? I'm on day 60 and starting the lean phase of CLX. I have to say, I LOVE IT. I have never ever stuck with a workout. Not even just walking consistently. I have started things, gotten bored then stopped. With CLX I have stayed on track. Yes, I have missed a workout due to illness or lack of sleep but never more than one day and then I would make up that day on my scheduled day off. I have never been more excited and woke up wanting to workout before. Now granted I hate cardio, blahhhh. But with CLX there's only two days of cardio. When I start my cardio days I say to myself "15 minutes, if I can get through 15 minutes then I can do 15 more." Doing that I get through the in tire 45 minutes with one and 30 minutes with the other. I have really bad arthritis and I have noticed that when I eat sugar it flares up so bad that I cannot walk. Keeping to the diet is doing so much more than just losing weight for me, its helping my knees to not scream in pain daily. This last weekend I ate a ton of sugar, and I literally could not walk for parts of the day on Sunday due to my left knee being in so much pain. So today back to no sugar.

Another thing about MY CLX is that I'm in an accountability group who is doing the same routine on the same days. Its like going to the gym together. I have never met these ladies and almost all of them live in other states. These women have inspired me and encouraged me daily. I truly thank the Lord for them. Without them I would have quite when the workouts got harder and harder. I hope we continue to keep each other accountable even after the 90 day challenge. Now here are my results for the month. I have lost 2 pounds. This last month we worked on heavy weights and muscle building. So I know the lack of weight loss is due to my building muscle. I cannot believe how awesome I feel. I have lost 7.5 inches in total as well. In total I have lost 13 pounds and 12.5 inches. And 2% body fat.

I have continued to drink my shakeology through all this and it has definitely helped me. I don't ever fill bloated, I have a ton of energy and my cravings have gone way down. I didn't drink any shakeology this last weekend and I feel icky. I'm bloated, constipated and the cravings were back. So today is a shakeology day and I'm back on track. One thing about working out and eating right is that when you mess up or skip a day you just start again the next meal or the next day. Its not the end of the road. Don't ever give up.

I am learning so much. I am so thankful to God that I have found this workout and Shakeology. It has really helped me get back on track. I want to live longer and have more energy for my kids. They are a huge part of why I do this.

Cottage Cheese Legs? Really??

I am on day 41 of Chalean Extreme. I've lost 14 pounds and 25 inches so far, 9.5 from my waist. I wasn't going to report on my success of weight loss until the end of 60 days but I just couldn't help but share with you the results of my legs. My saddle bags and "cottage cheese" to be exact. I didn't think you could get rid of cellulite, ever. But my legs are really smoothing out. My saddle bags are almost gone and my (whisper) butt is being lifted and shrinking. The techniques Chalean uses in her workouts are amazing for the troubled areas that most women have. I cannot wait to be done and show you all the results. Day 31

Today is my 31st day doing my 90 day challenge. It has been very extreme and rewarding. I have been following a life changing diet that I just love while doing a very intense workout 5 days a week. During my workout there are 3 days of weight lifting that is extreme and two days of cardio and abs. I had days when I couldn't work out but made up for them during my scheduled days off. The diet is easing but cuts out bread and sugar. By the end of my 30 days, I allowed myself some leeway and added a little treat now and then. My metabolism has gone up so it didn't hurt my weight loss. I feel great. I have more energy, I feel a lot stronger and more confident in how I look. I was able to go down a pant size and even my shoes are more loose. I have a long way to go. I was at 199 and now I'm at 188. I've lost 11 pounds in just 30 days and 6 inches off my waist. The next 30 days are more intense and people who have already completed this phase have had dramatic results, so I'm stoked to see how it works for me. I have been able to go up in the pounds that I lift because we do less reps but heavier weights. I'm still drinking my shakeology every day. It helps to break down the fat and gives me the energy I need to get through my days. Getting ready for school

I've been looking at different sites to see what to use in the fall for Kindergarten. Colton will be 5 in June so its time. I think if I stick to only Kindergarten he is going to get bored. Of course there are things he still doesn't know how to do so he can go fully into 1st grade. He still can't write out the alphabet or his numbers. We have just started working on these though. He does however know how to read his alphabet and his numbers. He can even read and spell most 3 letter words and some 4 letter ones. He can count to 100 and can count by 10's to 60. He's working on counting by 2's. He can also count backwards from 20. He can do simple addition, knows all his shapes and even the parallelogram and all his colors. The only thing he can't really do for first grade is write. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Week Two Is Over

I have been doing intense weight training with ChaLean Extreme for two weeks now. Tomorrow I will start week 3. I am so excited. I have lost 6 inches off my waist so far and 7 pounds. My husband has said that he can see my figure again already. I love hearing that. I have to be honest with all of you, it is not easy. It is super hard when you have an addiction to food. And yes, I believe I have an addiction. I know that I can have self control and yet for so many years I chose not too. Now I am learning to eat healthier, with really yummy recipes. And to eat satisfied. Yes, I still crave certain things like a deep fried chicken sandwich from Red Robin or Onion rings, but I know that I can overcome these cravings and save them for when I have reached my goal weight and then have it every once in a while in moderation. Working out has also taught me to be on a schedule. I know that sounds weird, but when I work out in the mornings I have more energy to schedule activities for my kids and to do my work for CEF that I've committed two hours a day to. I also have started to get up even earlier (10 minutes) to do my Bible study. Before I would do it in a rush during the afternoon with interruption. I still do some of it in the afternoon, but I'm working my way to waking up 30 minutes earlier so I can spent that precious time with my Lord. This means getting up at 4:50 in the morning. Please pray for me to be able to do this.

Having the flu is not so fun

Wow! Colton, William and I have been fighting the flu for 3 days now. I feel a ton better but William is still congested and feverish. Please pray for him. He's not sleeping well even in the swing sitting up. When they're this young you can't give them anything.
Today, I'm going to be brave. I'm going to do a before picture. I am determined to loose weight. We only have a little bit of chocolate in the house now, nothing to temp me. And we won't be buying any more. We do have cookies, but I don't really like cookies. So its fruit and vegies for me from here on out. Woo hoo. I cannot wait to take my final picture once I've reached my goal weight.

New goal



Well, today is officially the day I start my Team Beach Body Slim in 6 work out. I have 6 weeks to go. I'm posting so that you can keep me accountable. I want so much to lose all this baby fat and fit back in my clothes and finally look like I'm healthy again. I was going to work out this morning but I have been sick the last two days. After taking some Theraflu and Ibuprofen I'm ready to start. On Friday I will get my Shakeology and start drinking that once a day. I'll keep you updated and let you know how it goes. Lizzy's birthday











We celebrated Lizzy's 2nd birthday on January 13. She is a pistol. We are amazed that she hasn't broken any bones yet. What a wonderful blessing my little tink is. She makes me laugh and makes my heart jump throughout each day. Happy birthday Lizzy I pray that God showers you with blessings throughout the year.
